The management of the Russia-Singapore Business Council took part in the events on the margins of the Eastern Economic Forum 2019, 4-6 September.
On September 6, 2019, on the margins of EEF-2019 in Vladivostok, the 10th meeting of the High-level Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission was held under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government, M.A. Akimov, and the Senior Minister of Singapore, Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and advises the Prime Minister on economic policies, T. Shanmugaratnam.
The meeting noted the positive role played by the Russia-Singapore Business Council in the development of bilateral economic relations as well as in the expansion of contacts in the field of education, science and culture.
Within the framework of the meeting of the Interregional Commission, the Days of Russian Music and the Russian Film Week (with the support of “Gazprom”) were celebrated successfully together with “Rostec”. Confidence was expressed that such events, as well as the Russia-Singapore Business Dialogue, would become traditional.
The State Corporation “Rostec” and the Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE) have agreed on a phased plan to establish a Professional Training and Certification Centre for Innovative Industries in Moscow. ITE specialists, whose experience will be used in the creation of a unique institution in Russia, will continue to participate in the project for the next three years.
A memorandum on cooperation in the field of vocational education, providing for the establishment of the Center for Training and Certification of Personnel, was signed at the end of 2017 between Rostec, the Government of Moscow, the Russia-Singapore Business Council and ITE. According to the agreements, the Russia-Singapore Business Council is the operator of the project.
JSC “RT-Techpriemka” and Russia-Singapore Business Council signed a cooperation agreement, the key goal of which is to intensify cooperation between companies from Russia and South-East Asian countries.
RSBS together with ANO « Far East Investment and Export Agency » and Schneider Group with the support of the Singapore Business Federation organized the seminar «Conducting business in Russia».
Visits were made to the “Russky Island: Youth. Science. Innovation”, where engineering and R&D centers functioning in the Far East are represented, constructive talks were held on connecting the Far East R&D centers to the work of the distributed engineering center of the Radio Electronic Complex of the State Corporation «Rostec»with the participation of the RSBC.
