Conference with the participation of specialists of the Russian space industry at the site of the Singapore Science Center

On December 14, 2021, a conference with the participation of specialists of the Russian space industry successfully held in Singapore for the first time. The event is organized by the Russia-Singapore Business Council jointly with the Representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Singapore, with the support of the State Corporation "Rostec".
Russian space sector presented interesting projects and space missions. In particular, the representative of JSC "Vympel" spoke about the competencies in the creation of space monitoring and near-Earth monitoring systems, mathematical modeling of situations in outer space.
The main goal of JSC "Glavkosmos" is to promote the achievements of the Russian space industry to world markets and manage complex international projects. JSC "Glavkosmos" is the main integrator of such projects as commercial launches of the Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle from the Guiana cosmodrome, turnkey integrated solutions based on satellite platforms for various purposes, etc. State Corporation “Rostec” is an industrial partner in a number of projects.
A welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting was given by cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, who is currently leading the space expedition, from the Soyuz MS-19 International Space Station.
As speakers the event will attend specialists of the "Gagarin Research &Test Cosmonaut Training Center" with a lecture "Russia's achievements in space: the past and the present" which aroused great interest among the listeners.
One of the memorable moments was the communication in the Q&A format between listeners and cosmonauts Oleg Skripochka, who was awarded the titles of Hero of the Russian Federation and Pilot-Cosmonaut of the Russian Federation. The cosmonaut answered the questions of the audience and shared his success story in cosmonautics.
The conference was broadcast online on the Facebook channel of the Singapore Science Center (www.facebook.com/SCOBservatory). The total audience coverage was more than 300 listeners.
The conference is aimed at developing scientific, technical and educational cooperation between Russia and Singapore in space sector and popularizing the interest of young specialists in this industry.
"The holding of this event coincides with the presence of a space tourist from Japan on board the ISS, which increases the interest from the region," commented Volobuev Nikolay, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian-Singapore Business Council.
