2020: Singapore Airshow 2020

On 11 February, the Singapore Airshow 2020, the largest in Southeast Asia and the world’s third-largest aerospace salon, opened in Singapore, hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority and the Singapore Agency for Military Science and Technology. The Singapore Airshow is held every two years and gathers civil and military aviation industry leaders on the same site.
The coronovirus epidemic has made adjustments to the holding of the Airshow this year. A number of European and American companies withdrew from the exhibition, with a slight reduction in the number of visitors, including through enhanced epidemiological safety measures taken by the Singapore authorities and the organizers. Moreover, a meeting of the directors of major aviation corporations was cancelled.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation participate in the work of the Singapore AirShow. The State Corporation “Rostec” is represented by a separate stand. Representatives of “Rostec” itself, as well as of the member holding companies and organizations “Russian Helicopters”, United Aircraft Corporation, “Rosoboronexport” (including regional representatives) and their partners take part in the work.
Compensating for the impossibility to present a large Russian delegation, the representatives of the Russia-Singapore Business Council are actively working at the AirShow in the Foreign Promotion Center Russian High-Tech Products and Presentation of Investment Projects (established in Singapore with the support of the State Corporation «Rostec»).
On the day of the opening, a series of negotiations was organized with potential buyers of products of Rosteс companies. The booth was visited by representatives of potential partners of the Corporation’s enterprises as well as heads of Singaporean agencies.
In addition to participating in the AirShow, an extensive business programme has been developed, including bi- and multilateral meetings with partners from Singapore and other Asian countries.
