On 19 September 2018, the Ninth session of the High-level Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission was held. 2018 is the year the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Singapore. In this landmark year, the Russia-Singapore Business Council organized a business mission of Russian companies to Singapore from 17 to 21 September. The programme of events for the session included meetings with Singapore agencies, development institutions, regulators and local high-tech companies, as well as visits to R&D centers.

In addition to the bilateral and multilateral negotiations, the Russia-Singapore Business Forum 2018 on the sidelines of the Commission was held on 20 September 2018 in Singapore. Since its establishment in 2006, the Forum has been a key platform bringing together the government and business elites of the two countries. This year the Russia-Singapore Business Council became an official partner of the event.

In addition, Russian TradeHouse «RSBC» is the executive structure of the Russia-Singapore Business Council and Singapore vCargo Cloud Pte. Ltd. («VCC») - a subsidiary of SGX Catalyst - signed a Cooperation Agreement to expand trading opportunities between Russia and Singapore. The agreement provides for mutual integration in the same name platform vCargo Cloud and RSTrade (operated by TD «RSBC») electronic services and services of two companies. This should increase the presence of VCC in Russia and the EAEUand RSTrade in the ASEAN countries.
