Singapore Airshow 2018, the largest aerospace technology exhibition in Asia, was held on 5-8 December 2018. Experts of more than 70 enterprises of the Russian aerospace industry had presentations and held consultations at the exhibition. In the fields of the Airshow the Foreign Promotion Center of High-Tech Products and Presentation of Investment Projects in Singapore (Progression Pte. Ltd.), founded on the initiative and with the support of the Russian-Singapore Business Council, organized a business program for the benefit of Russian companies.
Participants of the meeting were: General Director Russian Helicopters holding (part of the State Corporation «Rostec») A. Boginsky, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Singapore A. Tatarinov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Singapore A. Dakhnovsky, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Regional Policy of the State Corporation «Rostec» V. Kladov, Deputy Chairman of the Russia-Singapore Business Council S. Pronin and representatives of the Russian State Transport Leasing Company. There were discussion on expanding the presence of Russian aviation companies in South-East Asian countries.
The Russia-Singapore Business Council organized negotiations with Mr Kheng Yok, the Executive Director of the Association of Aerospace Industries Singapore (AAIS,includes 34 companies such as H3 Dynamics, Field International, BSB Aviation, Aviation Learn and others). During the negotiations, priority areas of cooperation were identified: establishment of aviation services centers and technical training centers in South-East Asia, certification of Russian equipment in Singapore. In addition, members of AAIS were invited to take part in SPIEF-2018, EEF-2018, organized by “Roscongress” and III Russia-Singapore Business Dialogue, organized by the Russia-Singapore Business Council.
In addition, on the sidelines of the Air Show, staff of the Foreign Promotion Center of Russian High-Tech Companies and Investment Project Presentation had negotiations with the leading Singaporean companies such as ST Electronics and ST Kinetics (belongs to ST Engineering).
