Screening of the film "The Pilot. A Battle for Survival" was held at the FPCS

On May 05, 2022, at the Foreign Promotion Center of Russian High-Tech Companies and Presentation of Investment Projects in Singapore, established on the basis of RSBC with the support of Rostec State Corporation, a demonstration of the film "The Pilot. A Battle for Survival" took place.
The event was organized by the Russia-Singapore Business Council in cooperation with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Singapore and Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Republic of Singapore with the support of Rostec State Corporation.
The Chairman of Russia-Singapore Business Council, Mr. Nikolai Volobuev, delivered a welcome speech: "The 9th of May is a sacred day for each of us and a national holiday. The USSR, China and Southeast Asian countries made millions of sacrifices during the Second World War. Courage, valour, fervent feeling of love for the homeland - these qualities were shown by our soldiers, commanders of the Soviet army, who defended our country during the Great Patriotic War and are an example for all of us".
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Singapore Nikolay Kudashev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Singapore Arken Arystanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Singapore Kakhramon Shakirov attended the event. The event was also attended by representatives of authorities, cultural institutions and business partners.
The "The Pilot. A Battle for Survival" is not just a war movie, but also a movie about love - it was the thought of loved ones and relatives that helped the main character, Nikolai Komlev, to overcome his ordeal. The action takes place in December 1941. Nikolai Komlev, a military pilot, comes under fire on his Il-2 attack aircraft. The hero manages to land the plane on a clearing and escape, but the ordeal does not end there. In spite of everything Komlev continues to fight for life in order to return to his beloved and to take to the skies again.
Currently, Russia-Singapore Business Council continues its active work. Foreign Promotion Center of Russian High-Tech Companies and Presentation of Investment Projects in Singapore is the main venue for cultural and business events, as well as a permanent showroom for Russian hi-tech products in the South-East Asia region.
