A report from job search portal Indeed, released on Wednesday (Sep 24), revealed that one in six job postings in Singapore during August referenced AI tools such as machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI. Callam Pickering, Indeed’s Asia-Pacific senior economist, stated that this prevalence directly reflects the pace at which AI is being integrated into Singapore's economy.

A pilot programme, the School Sports Fiesta, will use sports to unite Singaporean students from diverse backgrounds.
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo announced in Parliament on Thursday (Sep 25) that a new pilot programme, the School Sports Fiesta, will launch next month. The initiative aims to unite students from diverse backgrounds through sports, starting with 16 primary and secondary schools across three clusters. It is part of a broader MCCY and MOE effort to expand cluster-level competitions and foster social integration among youth.

Over half of SkillsFuture Career Transition trainees land jobs within six months.
In a parliamentary session on Thursday (Sep 25), Senior Minister of State for Education Janil Puthucheary disclosed the outcomes of the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP). The data, which spans from the programme's inception in June 2022 to December 2024, shows that about 55% of the 4,300 previously unemployed trainees secured employment within six months of finishing their courses. Enrolment has also risen sharply with the introduction of the SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme, which comprises the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of S$4,000 and the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance.
